The Bayou Fourche battlefield marks the final Confederate resistance after Union General Frederick Steele's Union army crossed the Arkansas River to capture Little Rock. The Confederates held the Federals back until Confederate General Sterling Price was able to remove his men from their trenches north of the river and evacuate the capital. The Fourche Bayou battlefield is part of the Little Rock Campaign Tour.
 
Located on Fourche Dam Pike at the crossing of Fourche Bayou near the Little Rock Airport.
