In 1862, troops arriving at White Sulphur Springs from Texas and Oklahoma brought a measles epidemic with them and many of them died from the disease. Many of those who died were buried in the Camp White Sulphur Springs Confederate Cemetery.
 
Open daily from dawn to dusk.
 
There is a living history and memorial service during the second weekend of October.
 
The cemetery is located three miles southwest of Pine Bluff on the Sulphur Springs Rd. then turn right onto Luckwood Rd. The cemetery is about one block on the left.
